Makayla’s laptop broke months ago and because she’s being super responsible and money-conscious, she hasn’t paid to have it fixed because it isn’t a necessity and she wants to get a car first.
So my grandma asked me this afternoon what she should get makayla for her birthday and I asked her if she would fix her laptop because I know how much she loves it (we met on the Internet I mean hello).
Well instead of fixing her old laptop (which has had to be repaired several times already, and was a really cheap used laptop) my grandma bought her a brand new one. When Kayla opened the wrapping paper it didn’t even occur to her that she had bought a new one and just asked, “She got my laptop fixed?” and I told her to open it up and find out.
She opened it and realized it was a brand new laptop and just paused for a full fifteen seconds before starting to cry and I got it all on video and omfg it was just the cutest, most genuine reaction ever. She was having a horrible day too.
Today I ran on the beach and tanned and ate healthy all day and now I’m finishing up the night with studying.
It feels good knowing I’m growing up and getting my priorities in order.
Wow…. and here I was thinking there wasn’t much of a change!!

I am proud of myself.
My fire for school has been lit again for the first time in a long time and I am very proud being able to say that.
I just hope it doesn’t go out again.
I got 100% on my cultural pluralism midterm today and 90% on my pathophysiology exam yesterday (still one of the highest grades in the class).
This just goes to show that you can smoke weed and still complete the shit you need to get done. Am I making this post to prove that I am a special little snowflake? Absolutely not—there are plenty of recreational marijuana users that manage excel in whatever goal they’re trying to achieve in life.
I am, however, making this post because nothing irks me more than the mentality that marijuana equals inherent laziness.
wow…….. still studying. I didn’t even make that tea when I started studying, just when I started getting sleepy.

You know, people always say that their pet is the best but this girl right here takes the cake and I’m going to explain why.
I’ve had her for 9 years now and this dog has been with me through a lot. She’s seen me through my awkward middle school years, she was there when I found out my dad died, both of our worlds got rocked when we moved from Kauai to California and we got separated and didn’t live together for 5 years but she never forgot me. Whenever I visited her at my grandma’s house she would always follow me around everywhere like she used to and now that we live together again she sleeps in the corner of my room every night and continues to shadow me wherever I go because I’m somehow still her favorite person. She protects me when people pick on me and eagerly waits for me to come home and just puts up with it when I dress her up in silly things and stops begging when I ask her to and just, goddamn. I will never love another animal as much as I love Cocoa.

I just looked through all of Amanda Bynes’ pictures on twitter and read various articles/interviews about her and man. I’m so sad now.
I’ve seen her popping up here and there on my dash and knew things were getting bad but oh man. This is so upsetting. Our tabloid media is so horrid to these young women and so much pressure is put on them to be perfect, thin, this, that…. and then you people seriously wonder why this sort of backlash happens?

Makayla’s work just put her on hold for so long that we had time to have sex two or three times and they still never picked up and we just ended the call LOL.
